Just a little space where I can vent my warped, skewed, jacked up viewpoint on how I see this country, and the world.
Do you feel the Country is becoming more and more divided

They finally found their balls
I didn't think it could happen, but it did! The Democrats finally pass the health care reform bill. This is history in the making. I think this will embolden the party to take on other taboo topics. Now the question is what will they do with their new political surge. The Republicans are flustered, the only thing they have left now is to pander to the so-called Tea Party. These people are scary as they are stupid, which is sort of surprising given their demographics ( white, male over 40, college educated, well to do ). These are people who, if they can get past all of the rhetoric, and their own bias, site down and rationally look at this bill, and at least talk about it. They have that ability, but they choose not to use it. They would rather get fired up by people like Beck, and Palin, who are doing nothing but pimping them for there own personal use. But it's comical and sad to see these people rant and rave against the current administration on something they truly don't understand, or want to understand. Let get real OK? this isn't about health care, this is personal. This is about the man, not so much his policies (they are too angry to even look at his polices). They, the Tea party, just can't wrap their head around the fact that a black man with a Muslim sounding name was elected president of the United States by a wide majority. Its blowing their mind. That's why they want to believe this whole birther story. It's all they have left. All they can hope to do, is to try and invalidate the election results ,by trying to prove he is not a American citizen. Then like a spoiled little child, call him names like Communist, or Socialist. Is this all you have? Is this the best you can come up with? Is that your game plan? If so, good luck with that. It makes you look like small minded frightened idiots. And in today's America, that's just plain pitiful.

I disagree with the government ram down of health care based on other reasons than race. To force Americans to buy health insurance is a direct violation of our civil rights, and in direct conflict with the 9th and 10th amendments.
ReplyDeleteBesides those two small facts, its going to cost us over a trillion dollars. China is cutting us off so how will we pay for it? Our government income is only near $900 billion per year, President Obama and Bush have spent over 5 trillion on pet projects in the past 3 years 3.5 trillion in the last year. Besides, whites support the president, 85% of the people that voted him into office are white, and another interesting fact is 55% of independents that voted for President Obama were conservatives. Of those conservatives 88% support the tea party now. So to blindly call them racist is really a far cry.
